NOMINATIONS & VOTING
12th May to 1st July 2023
Nominations are focused on self nominations. This means nominees are aware and engaged with the process, and that we have their permission to contact them during the voting process and leading up to the Awards event.
If you are considering nominating someone else, please contact them directly and encourage them to complete their own self nomination.

Voting Notes
The online voting closes on 8th September, and results will be announced in the lead up to the MHBA event on 21st October.
Your online votes will form our top five in each category and make up 50% of the total votes.
​
The remaining 50% will come from votes on 21st October made by our event attendees, who will in a sense act as our Special Guest Judges. ​

Awards Categories
Nominees must be an online project that is sharing, supporting or signposting; to the benefit of the online mental health community and individuals.
Projects can include campaigns, groups, events and signposting.
​
Nominees use imagery to support storytelling/ sharing. Images can be photos, drawings, paintings, graphics, digital creations evoking a message, feeling or conveying an experience.
The designer/ creator does not have to be exclusively focused on mental health. But does need to have repeated mention or focus on mental health (stories, insights, lived experience, expertise and or signposting to services).

Nominees must have an active podcast that has published a minimum of 5 episodes this year.
The podcast does not have to be exclusively a mental health podcast. But do need to have repeated mention or focus on mental health (stories, insights, lived experience, expertise and or signposting to services).

Nominees must have an active Vlog that has published a minimum of 5 videos this year.
Vlogs do not have to be exclusively a mental health vlog. But do need to have repeated mention or focus on mental health (stories, insights, lived experience, expertise and or signposting to services).
Vlogs are long form videos, considered to be over 5 minutes.
Shorter videos, like reels or stories would be considered under the Socials Champion category.

Nominees must have an active social media that publishes regular content.
Social media accounts do not have to be exclusively mental health accounts. But do need to have repeated mention or focus on mental health (stories, insights, lived experience, expertise and or signposting to services).
Posts can include short form videos (reels, stories), instagram (photo and text), and or text based posts.
​
Nominees for this category will be made of nominees that have not made the shortlist in their original category.
Community Leaders will vote on their choices to build a shortlist for the Community Choice category, with event attendees providing the final vote for this category.
​
Nominees must have an active blog that has published a minimum of 5 posts this year.
Blogs do not have to be exclusively mental health accounts. But do need to have repeated mention or focus on mental health (stories, insights, lived experience, expertise and or signposting to services).
